I'm not quite sure what I'd be now if I had discovered this album years ago and not just this winter. This album catches all sadness and melancholy and moreover, is partially acoustic. It is easily my favorite record of Agalloch, but we will see what this year brings.

Agalloch - Ashes Against The Grain

Yes, just another download link for this quite popular album, at least for those, who like Agalloch.

Nevertheless, for "newcomers", Agalloch are a Atmospheric Folk/Dark Metal-Band from the States, formed in 1995. They're playing quite melancholic and I'd say soft melodies for metal, but this mixture with the partially screamed vocals make up a lot!

It's music for rather calm hours in the evening for example, but fits also very good in the morning.
