EgoNoir is the most sophisticated and sociocritical band I know. For me, it's the definition of music written from heart, producing somewhat raw music I'm pretty sure not everyone will like - but that's the point, not everybody has to like it.

BinZynisch also composes in another band named Lousberg, but there are almost no details known, except one presumably Dreh dich um-named song on his homepage. In EgoNoir, he is supported by Zorn, here named Lethargie (bei 30grad), ex-member of Nagelfar and member of Simple Existenz.

ColdWorld - Melancholie²

Not quite sure if there is even one person that doesn't like this album. It may be the wrong season to post it, whatever, it's a fantastic album.

Altar of Plagues - Tides

Another quite melancholic band, singing mainly about nature, are Altar of Plagues.
Beside of composing really long songs for the moderately fast black metal they're playing, their sound is very ... I'd say urban. Whenever I hear their tones, I imagine a metropolis with skyscrapers and so on. This is absolutely in contrast to their lyrics. They're about the decay of society and natures' process of reconquering what has been stolen by mankind.

Tides is a whole world in itself. Within 2 songs, 35:02 minutes long, you'll enter another world, dreaming of hope, but also hatred. These two songs can give you power, but also may crush your situation, depending on your mood.
